Practice That Forehand Cross Court

by John Debnam Tennis Practices

Your “bread and butter” forehand has got to be the cross court shot.

This is the shot that opens the court, and so creates various openings.

Read the explanation – start just rallying, and then bring in the point games.

As the article says, this can also be for more than 2 players.make a note of the markers, and also that you MUST return to the slightly off centre position after every shot – so it becomes game like.

Also do not forget your split step, and also your hitting stance…open or closed…closed will give you more power, as you will be lined up to hit out in the direction of the shot - open will not be so powerful, but you must practice both.
