Tennis Success On Tenerife

We try to keep you informed out there, not only about tennis down here in Los Gigantes, but also in other areas on the Island of Tenerife.

And recently, there are two success story’s to tell.

 

The first is that the 3rd Wiki Open Tennis Tournament has been completed.
And this year a staggering 250 players took part, in what must be the most successful tennis event not only on Tenerife, but probably the whole Canary Islands.

So well done to Isaias and company from the Wikiteam.

And then on the island has been running the team competition for Under 12 boys, and the winners, who also have just won the Canary Island Championships, were from C.T.Puerto de la Cruz.

The photo below shows the team and on the right is Marcos (coach) and the elderly guy on the left is his famous father, and owner of the club Alavro!

Well done, and now this team goes on to represent the Canary Islands in the Spanish National Team Championships in Murcia.
