Interesting to watch this video of The Master hitting his forehand in practice.

Note: His racket head after contact with the ball takes a definite across the body direction, and not out with the ball.

And why is this..well in this video he is hitting in a very relaxed state, and these shots are probably a lot flatter than his top spin forehand..take a lok at his last forehand and look to see where the finish is.

Also he does not actually track the ball with his non dominant hand, BUT look if you can (you can stop the video using the controls on the video) at 2 seconds into the video, and his left hand is parallel with the baseline.....this is how he gets those shoulders turned correctly.
