The Good and The Bad use of the left hand.

The left hand works in not only releasing the ball for the serve, but also assists in the correct rotation after the ball is hit.

Look at the photo on the right of Martina Hingis and note where here left hand is as she strikes the ball, and where it is after.

Then compare her with Andy Roddick and note the same points, and most important where his hand is after the stroke.

Andy gets alot more rotation and so more power if the body is used in the correct way.

Next time you are on-court, be aware of where your left hand is after the serve.

Ps obviously if your a lefty, it will be your right hand!
