Were we lucky! Whilst the storm arrived "again" early Sunday morning, we had no rain at all all day, so were able to complete a full days tennis in Los Gigantes,Tenerife. The idea of the tournament, was to run a competition in the name of Chris and also to raise money for the Motor-Neuron Disease Association. In true Brit style, raffles were organsied, tombolas run and cakes made by the hundreds. All under the watchful eye of Valerie Knibbs who in just 10 days sorted out all the money making events. In all just over 2,400€ was raised - incredible. The photos are still being organised, but here are just three to give you some idea of the day, not only about tennis.
The presentation and dinner photos will also be shown later this week. The final - picture shows from left to right:
Bill Dorricott,Alan and Judy(the winners) Carole and Paul(runner ups) and Samantha Dorricott. The Bunny sisters with some of the fantastic cakes.
Janet Zaghis, in charge of the raffle, with two clients Tom and Sarah.
