So we have an all Brit boys final at Wimbledon today, and already the press are sharpening their knives as to see if these four lads cn kick start British male tennis. Their are others, of course, who reckon that this doubles piece of history means nothing, and in a years time the four lads will have vanished from the tennis scene, or will still be there but not achieved anything. So my idea is to follow the lads over the next 12 months and report back to you on their progress, and I personally hope that they do well - we need them. So first of all who are they - here we go: First Lewis Burton - and I can tell you now, its not easy on the www finding out anything about them
Born March 1992, and is presently trained at the Bromley tennis Academy in London. He has a World Junior ranking of 221, and was ranked No 6 in the Uk at Under 16. His dream goal is to be a top 100 ATP player. Next up we have George Morgan

Born February 1993, and is from Lancashire, but I now find out that he was originally from Hertfordshire, but moved to Bolton. And he has an ATP World ranking of 1350, and has earned 618 dollars this year in prize money. Next up Liam Broady.
Born April 1994 and is Stockport,Lancashire, and its a bit easier to find out about him, as his father had a big "head to head" with the LTA a few years back over funding. He has a current ATP ranking of 1321. And next is Tom Farquharson.
He was born September 1993, and is from Surrey.Uk ranked U18 6 and ITF Junior ranking of 118. So there you have the four lads, who may be carrying the weight of British male tennis on their shoulders. We shall see - but their futures may start today after the final - keep you all informed.
